"I am interested in how simple manipulations to the colour in a portrait can begin to describe previously hidden psychological themes. In my oil paintings I experiment with visual representations of the internal world of my subject, in an attempt to offer a more complete picture of a person. I'm searching for ways to describe that which is usually invisible: emotions, identity and experience."
About the Artist
Kelly Rose Adams is a contemporary painter based in Toronto. She has a BFA in Drawing and Painting from OCAD University (2018). She is an Alumni of the OCADU Florence Off campus studies program. Kelly is a member of the Flick the Switch Artist Collective.
